How My Solas is doing the NDIS differently

If you’re looking to change the way you manage or access disability supports, then you’ve come to the right place.

My Solas is a new online community, created for everyone in the NDIS to connect, collaborate and achieve better outcomes.

Whether you’re looking to connect with service providers in your area, buy new or secondhand assistive equipment, find helpful resources or promote your NDIS services, My Solas is the place for you.

We are on a mission to empower people with disabilities with the information they need to make informed decisions and shape their own brighter futures.

To do this we need to ensure My Solas is an inclusive and supportive community for all, which starts with the amazing providers and independent support workers we welcome into our community.

Here’s how we’re doing it…

Fostering a community of trusted disability providers

Fair for all: Other provider directory sites favour businesses with large marketing budgets that can afford to pay a premium for promoted or priority listings. My Solas promises to never prioritise providers based on financial investment, making it fair for organisations of all sizes. Our platform ensure that only trusted providers are rewarded for fostering a collaborative and supportive community.

No middleman: On My Solas, participants, families and Support Coordinators can directly contact the providers they want, without having to jump through multiple steps or having to submit a support request that is filtered through a third-party. This makes it faster and easier to connect and establish new service agreements on your own terms.

All-in-one: My Solas combines essential business functions into one platform, designed specifically for the disability community. This means you can share your events, job openings, new and used items, insights, vacancies and services all in one place, making it easy for participants to find and connect with you.

Empowering people with disability and families

Informed choices: On My Solas, we guide you through your journey with disability supports, providing helpful information at each step. This way you can make informed choices about your supports and services.

Matched supports: Based on your NDIS plan and chosen supports, we match you with service providers in your area that can meet your needs. All you need to do is decide which one feels right.

Designed for you: We’ve spent more than 5 years building a community that caters to the needs of everyone in the disability community, including NDIS participants. This is what makes My Solas the best place to find all the inspiration and information you need to live the life you want.

How My Solas is different to online directory services

We don’t just promote registered providers. My Solas helps you to understand the services and supports available within your NDIS plan and suggest a range of providers in your area that can meet your needs. This way you can be confident in making the right choice.

Many NDIS directory sites allow providers to pay a premium for promoted or featured listings. This results in an environment where the established providers have an unfair advantage over the new or smaller providers. This also means that participants and families aren’t necessarily seeing the providers that best match their needs.

My Solas is committed to ensuring that our community is a fair and equitable community for all providers to showcase their services. We ensure that every provider on our platform is trustworthy and actually delivers the services they advertise. We also don’t offer promoted or featured listings, ever.

It’s always free to browse My Solas to see what providers are in the community. Whether you’re a participant, family member, support coordinator or disability liaison, you don’t need to enter your details to look around. You’ll only need a free account when you want to save your preferences and contact providers.
